On Tuesday, August 24th we had the pleasure of photographing 7-day old Vincent with his mom and dad (and dog!) at their home in Murrieta. We started out with the dramatic black and white portraits, and then settled in to the soft, sleepy portraits of Vincent in his cute little knitted cap.
As you’ll see in one of the final shots, Little Vincent was unexpectedly strong, lifting his [...]

Last year, on August 21st, I photographed the wedding of Chermine Williams and Eric Smith. I had also previously shot a boudoir portrait session for Chermine as a gift for Eric. Chermine loves the camera (and, fortunately, my use of it) so much that she returned for her maternity portrait session on July 25th.
Chermine didn’t have any specific shots in mind that she wanted. Instead, [...]

It’s baby season! On the afternoon of Tuesday, June 1st, we had the pleasure of photographing 6-day old Ryleigh Ann DeFalco. Tiny Ryleigh was as cute as could be, and new parents Annie and Tony were beaming! With a full belly and on the verge of a deep sleep, Ryleigh was a great sport — very tolerant of us fussing with her — and we [...]

On May 20th, we were at the Murrieta home of one of our 2008 wedding photography couples, Cheryl and Jim Stark, to photograph the first portraits of their newborn son, J.T.
Since Jim is a firefighter, in addition to the usual baby shots, we also worked his firefighters turnouts into some of the shots.
After the shoot while Rachel and I were reviewing the images, we could [...]

Besides being a wedding photographer, I am a newlywed myself, having just gotten married on December 4th of last year. My wife, Rachel, got her wedding dress from Lovee’s Bridal in Temecula. Annie DeFalco works at Lovee’s, and is expecting her first baby. So, on April 18th, Annie and her husband, Tony, came to our home/studio for her maternity portraits.
Tony has done some modeling in [...]

On Saturday, May 2nd, Sheila Zelaya was in our studio for her maternity portraits. We created some terrific images and amazing art, and Sheila got a well-deserved morale boost out of the session. As you will see below, Sheila proved that you can still be beautiful and sexy when you are just about ready to go into labor any day!

I had previously photographed Laura and Troy Judy’s wedding on the island of St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands in 2007.
On Tuesday, March 3rd, Laura Walker-Judy was back in front of my lens for her maternity portraits. Laura is extremely photogenic, which always makes my job a breeze when I am photographing her. Here are some of the highlights…
Laura JUST [...]

On November 15th, Natalie Rivera came into the studio for her maternity portraits. She was such a natural in front of the camera, it was as if she were born a model. She had seen shots from many of my previous maternity portrait sessions that she wanted to recreate for herself, and we also created many brand new shots just for her.
Many of Natalie’s pose [...]

On August 16th, Shana Ard was in my studio for her maternity portraits. She was very excited to do her session, and it showed.
As a photographer, some days just flow and every shot comes out great. This first shot below just ended up perfectly as I envisioned. Shana’s pose was perfect, from the slight forward tilt of her head, to the hand gently cupping her [...]

On July 24th, Julia Miller and her hubby visited my studio for her maternity portraits. As with many of my maternity portrait clients, Julia came prepared with several printouts with sample images of different pose ideas that she wanted replicated for herself.
Usually, with these type of sessions, the first 15 minutes or so is just “warm up” time where we take the more “conservative” shots [...]
