It has been a few weeks since our last blog update, but that doesn’t mean we haven’t been busy. Quite the opposite, in fact. In the past two weeks, I’ve photographed two other weddings (after the one in this post) and spent nearly every free moment packing and unpacking as we moved into our brand spanking new house! Now that we have a moment to [...]

I love designing albums, and I love helping clients select the perfect cover options to really personalize their wedding book. Whether leather, pleather, metal, or something softer to the touch like brocades or silks, we’ve got a full list of designer cover options to choose from. Here is a list of just a few of my favorite cover materials offered by our favorite wedding album [...]

We have a lot of out of state couples who come from all over the U.S. to marry in our beautiful Temecula Wine Country. Kathryne Starmer and Conrad Vaughan came a little further — across the Atlantic to be exact — from their home in the United Kingdom. AND they brought all of their closest friends and family members to celebrate with them on Thursday, [...]

The day was Saturday, August 20th and Charlinn McCuiston was a nervous bride. Prior to the ceremony, she was acting as many young brides do just prior to marrying the man of their dreams. She was checking every detail and checking it again. The cutest thing is that, a few times, she actually apologized to me for acting so nervous. I have [...]

On Thursday, July 21st, we were at the home of Alex Ashforth and Chris Forney in Escondido to photograph their engagement portraits. It is not often that I photograph engagement portraits at a couple’s home. However, in this case, I’ll be back there on September 24th to photograph their wedding.
Weddings held at private residences are becoming more and more popular. [...]

On Saturday, July 30th we were at Glen Arbor Park in Murrieta to photograph the engagement portraits for Mary-Alice Welshon and Clint Navrkal. I will be photographing their wedding on September 3rd in the Murrieta community of La Cresta.
Mary-Alice and Clint were one of those couples that started out initially wary of the camera. But, as usual, after the first series of shots (in [...]

On July 23, 2011, I was back in beautiful Temecula Wine Country to photograph the wedding of Megan Ashton and John Proctor at Keyways Vineyard and Winery. One of the first things I noticed upon my arrival were the unique flower arrangements and eye catching bouquets. In a word: GREEN. Megan (maybe because she’s a Texas resident?) had chosen succulents for her floral theme. Organic [...]

Monique and Randy are true lovebirds. One year ago, these childhood sweethearts married in a simple courthouse ceremony. To celebrate their first anniversary on July 9th of this year, they decided to have the wedding they never had. And they did it in style — aboard the yacht Spirit of Newport. Their closest family and friends were all onboard for the cruise around Newport [...]

I truly love my job. I mean, it is almost cliché these days to hear a photographer swooning on their blog (or the About page on their site) about what “passion” they have for photography, or how they love what they do. However, at the risk of sounding cliché, I will say it again — I do truly love my job. At the beginning [...]

On Sunday, June 26th, we were at one of our favorite locations to capture beautiful “woodsy” engagement portraits — Glen Arbor Park in Murrieta (also known to locals as the “Dog Park”). Today’s portrait session was for Charlinn McCuiston and Chris Watkins.
As is the case with many people, Charlinn and Chris consider themselves somewhat camera-shy. And, as usual, within 10 minutes of starting their [...]

If you’re a regular follower of this blog, you’ll remember Courtney and James from their fun engagement portrait session (HERE) where they did a split session — half at the park with their dogs and half in Old Town Temecula. We made a cute engagement session video for them then too. They were so much fun during the engagement portrait session, that I truly could [...]

On Sunday, June 19th, we were back in what has now officially become my favorite location to photograph engagement portraits — Old Town Temecula. On this day, I was photographing Jennifer Williams and Shawn Percival, whose wedding I will be photographing on Friday, September 30th at Wiens Family Cellars in Temecula — which also happens to be one of my favorite weddings venues.
Jennifer and [...]

Saturday, May 21st, we were in Fullerton at the Coyote Hills Golf Course to photograph the wedding of Cassandra New and Robert Johnson. It was an emotional day all around with Cassandra tearing up a bit just after getting in her wedding dress; Robert getting a bit watery-eyed as he first caught sight of Cassandra coming down the aisle; Cassandra wiping her eyes during the [...]

On May 14th, we were back in Temecula Wine Country to photograph the wedding of Kelly Keprios and Tim Jiannino at Wiens Family Cellars.
Both Kelly and Tim were in great moods all day. Kelly even trusted me when I suggested that I’d like to take her dress out into the vineyard to get some shots of it there. I thought that would be far [...]

I had such a fun time photographing childhood sweethearts Monique and Randy Smith for their engagement session in Old Town Temecula. Technically, they’re already married, but they never had the ceremony they wanted when they married at the courthouse almost a year ago.
So, this July 9th — on what is really their 1st anniversary — they will be having a wedding ceremony and [...]

On Saturday, May 1st, we were at Etiwanda Gardens near Rancho Cucamonga for the wedding of Kimberly White and Tony Checcia. I had a blast watching them have a blast all day! My second shooter, Erin, and I capture some really great moments with Kimberly and Tony and their families and friends on this day.
This was the first time I had ever photographed an [...]

Here are some highlights from Cassandra and Robert’s engagement portrait session at Crystal Cove. I’ll be photographing their wedding on May 21st at Coyote Hills Golf Club in Fullerton. Stay tuned!

Courtney Campora and James Carter love their dogs. We love dogs too! So, when they gingerly asked about including their dogs in their engagement portrait session, we quickly said, “No problem!” We set up a split engagement portrait session for them on March 27th. The first half was in the morning at Glen Arbor Park in Murrieta. We’ve photographed there many times [...]

It’s engagement portrait season! On March 6, 2011, we photographed the engagement session of a beautiful couple, Kelly Keprios and Tim Jiannino, at one of our favorite locations in Laguna Beach.
Here are just some of the amazing shots from the session that Kelly and Tim selected for use in their custom Photo Guest Book that we’re designing for them. And, check out their cinematic [...]

On Sunday, February 5th, I was at the Mission San Juan Capistrano to photograph an engagement portrait session for Kimberly White and Tony Checchia. I’ll be photographing their wedding on May 1st, 2011 at Etiwanda Gardens in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. I have photographed at the mission a couple times before, so I already had some specific spots in mind that I was looking [...]

On Saturday, December 11, 2010 we were at the Murrieta home of Miss Jen to photograph her in adorable pin-up inspired poses. This boudoir portrait session would be the final one of its kind that we’ll be shooting for the foreseeable future, as we have shifted our focus to all things weddings as of 2011.
Jen was so much fun to work with, and never hesitated [...]

I own both the Canon 5D Mark II and 7D. I’ve used the 5D Mark II for some small video projects in the past (mostly video’s of my son’s drumming), but when my friend (Pat Collins, drummer for the band Eclipse) hired me to do a full-scale promo video for them, how could I refuse?
I elected to use my 7D for this video, instead [...]
