On Friday, October 28, 2011, we were at the Bali Hai Restaurant in San Diego photographing the wedding of Kasey Middlestead and Trevor Schultz. Kasey and Trevor had a perfect bayside ceremony complete with gorgeous weather and a sparkling water view! And following the ceremony was a fun daytime reception on the Bali Hai patio, complete with fun and funky cake centerpieces!

As with their engagement portrait session (HERE), Kasey and Trevor were both smiling and laughing all day. Here are just some of the moments we captured on this amazing day. And a big thanks to Annie for her wonderful work shooting alongside Loren during this event!

When Kasey and Trevor came into the studio to view their wedding images and select their album cover options, they had this to say about their experience with Loren Scott Photography.

Congratulations Kasey and Trevor!

I truly love my job. I mean, it is almost cliché these days to hear a photographer swooning on their blog (or the About page on their site) about what “passion” they have for photography, or how they love what they do. However, at the risk of sounding cliché, I will say it again — I do truly love my job. At the beginning of this year when we made the decision to drop all non-wedding-related photography to focus on weddings, one of the main reasons was that photographing weddings (and specifically, couples in love), makes me feel good inside.

Well, on the afternoon of Tuesday, June 28th, my insides were feeling very good.

It was on this day that Rachel and I were back at one of our most favorite spots to photograph engagement portrait sessions for our wedding couples — Old Town Temecula. There are so many great textures and ‘photo ops’ there. And, on this particular occasion, I was photographing the engagement portraits for Kasey Middlestead and Trevor Schultz. And, right from the start, they were on track to take the title for Most Photogenic Couple Ever.

The natural love between these two was obvious. And, Kasey’s big smile and spontaneous laughter were contagious. On the few shots where I decided to try something new and have them try to keep a straight face, you could still see a bit of a sly smirk on Kasey’s face. She could only hold it for a second before she’d bust out laughing, taking Trevor (and Rachel and I) along with her. Seriously — my cheeks were sore at the end of the shoot from smiling so much.

I will be photographing Kasey and Trevor’s wedding at the Bali Hai in San Diego on Friday, October 28th, and to say that I cannot wait would be a huge understatement.

Did I mention that I love my job? ;)
