“Let’s get to the point here: LOREN AND RACHEL SCOTT are extremely talented and AWESOME!
Where to start? Well my husband and I were looking for a photographer who fit our style and out budget for our wedding on 2-21-2009 . We stumbled up on his website and feel in love with the pictures alone. Not only was his portfolio AMAZING, so was the fact that you could create a custom package. No need to settle for the generic ones that others offer. This is what we LOVED, we didn’t have to settle for some generic package. So we called and set up an appt. to actually see what him and Rachel were all about. From the very start Loren and Rachel were laid back but also very professional, they answered all our questions and concerns about how we wanted things to be done starting from the E-session up to the day of the wedding. They showed many many different samples of paper to wedding books etc. My husband and I are visual people so this helped a lot and SOLD US to book with them. We decided for our E-session to be at Laguna beach, it was so much fun. They both made us feel like comfortable and natural. The weather on the other hand wasn’t perfect BUT when we saw our proofs you couldn’t tell, Rachel is AWESOME! When the wedding day finally arrived Loren and Rachel were flies on the wall. While me and my girls were getting ready, they were just shooting away capturing all the moments that were important to me. They never let a moment slip by, especially the silly moments I had with my BMs. From the ceremony to the reception, Loren and Rachel told our story just the way we wanted it. When it came time for our romantic pictures it stress free just like our E-session. We felt like they knew our personality well enough to “place” us in the right places and just go with it. PLUS they treated us like we were their only clients from beginning to end, regardless of how busy they might have been. You will not be disappointed! =)” |

“I cannot tell you how thrilled I am with Loren and Rachel. They are absolutely amazing! My husband happened to stumble across some engagement photos (on Facebook, of all places) of a former student of his and was so impressed. He looked at the Loren Scott Photography website and was extremely impressed as was I when I looked the portfolio. We were so discouraged since we were on a tight budget and didn’t think it was possible to hire Loren to photograph our 11/22/10 wedding. Without exaggerating, I looked at hundreds of wedding photographers from wedding shows, wedding sites, yellow pages, Internet from San Bernardino, Palm Springs, LA, Orange County, San Diego and Riverside. Not one caught our eye like Loren Scott photography. We didn’t think hiring Loren would fit our budget, but everyone we knew had horror stories about their wedding photographer from lack of professionalism, over exposures, lost photos and film, bad lighting (very common and a HUGE priority) to lack of energy and creativity and personality of just plain and ordinary photos. I figured this was a once in a lifetime event and was worth a shot. So, I sent Loren an email just to see what would happen. Loren responded with several options for us to consider. We had a consultation and we just couldn’t imagine trusting anyone else shoot our wedding. Rachel was actually the second shooter as well as the genius editor for both our engagement and our wedding. They make such an excellent team. They are easy going yet energetic, outgoing, spontaneous and extremely talented. They went above and beyond for our wedding. Aside from telling our story with the fantastic photos Loren and Rachel took, they helped me tremendously throughout the entire process from the moment hired them to the final moments of our wedding day… and then some: from listening to me vent as I, like many brides, ran into planning tragedies, giving me helpful advice, referrals, and coordinating with vendors at the wedding. I cannot tell you how many compliments we received about not only our photos but just about Loren’s style of photography and creativity, and the fact that Loren and Rachel were so unobtrusive and almost unnoticeable during the ceremony and reception. It’s common to see photographers up in the front taking pictures during the ceremony in attempt to capture the moments, but still end up taking posed shots recreating the scenes and events (ring exchange, cutting the cake…) to capture the “perfect” picture. Not Loren and Rachel! Every Single Shot was in the moment, candid and PERFECT! No one even noticed as they were was tucked in the back and on the sidelines observing and capturing every real event and special occasion of our wedding. If I had to do it over again but could choose only ONE thing to remain the same (besides the groom) it would be our choice in Loren Scott Photography, hands down! And I L-O-V-E-D my dress! “We used Loren Scott Photography for our Oct. 2010 wedding in Riverside, Ca., after hearing about them and seeing some wedding photos they had done for a friend of mine. I did a ton of research and looking around for the perfect fit, and I knew right away when I looked at some more of their work that Loren and Rachel’s style was perfect for our wedding. However– I was almost scared to get a price from them, thinking it would have been way out of my budget range. Thankfully, I made the call and was able to get a great deal on an awesome package. I’d be lying if I said that they were the cheapest ones out there– but you get what you pay for– plus a TON more with these guys! They showed up on time for the shoot of myself and my bridesmaids before the ceremony, and got right to work. I like how they didn’t try to to stop the flow of us getting ready, but rather caught a lot of unique little candid moments |
They made sure to get all the requested obligatory family photos after the ceremony as I requested, and at the reception, snuck around the crowds getting some more great candids, giving me a glimpse of a lot of the things I didn’t even get to see myself since I was running around like a mad woman! Loren sets up this awesome lighting that you don’t even really notice at the reception, but it makes the photos look GREAT. As for the service after the event, I had a nice sampling in the form of a photo blog within a week, which was great to 1) see when I was on my honeymoon and 2) send to my family! Once I got all the proofs, I picked out my favs and Rachel did a great job putting them into a layout in my included photo book.
